Do we take this life for granted

There seemed to always be a part of him that knew where to find his brother when he needed him. If he was ever to believe in anything of their birth right it would be the part that connected Voltage to him. It was a trait that came in handy as he moved away from his den and his sleeping little ones, and his yawning, tired, love. He was shocked, not just with what he had found out but how long it had taken him to see it. True, the pups hadn't been exploring the Donostrea lands for very long of yet, but he felt that his fatherly instincts should have known before his eyes and senses had at last told him. His senses lead him to the borderline between their beach and prairie, where the high tide brushed against the grass with its swollen ripples, fat on the entire stretch of beach land it had swallowed. He would find Voltage sitting on a border over looking their sunken beach and the Titan would easily leap upwards and land beside him. He curled up against his brothers side, and would sit there in silence for a little while as his own eyes took in the ocean before them. When he did speak, it was the bare minimum, and surely enough for Voltage to understand his woes. “Aurora is deaf” He whispered. Was it his fault, as he believed? Was their something in his blood line that had lead to this disability? How much would Rory suffer in life because of this? How many times would Glacier be unable to protect his little girl from the life that would follow. "Burn Baby Burn" |
