Buried In These Walls

Creed had been resting quietly leaning against the tree trunk for a while as he enjoyed the breeze of the day. His eyes were closed and he listened to the wind as it whistled softly through the willows. Wildlife could also be heard though he had a habit of tuning it out slightly, trying to appreciate the silence while he could. He was more than thankful that he wasn't in the Estuary right now where all the birds made enough racket to prevent anyone from resting properly until nightfall came. He'd never been overly fond of birds, though he would admit that their songs were pretty when there weren't hoards of them screaming from the trees. The silence was interrupted by a soft jingling of... were those bells? Yes they were bells and he could distinctly hear the voice of someone singing. It was a melodic voice and his eyes opened as he turned his head towards the source and just listened to the song. It was one he'd never heard before and he listened curiously. It sounded like the singer was getting closer and the closer it got the better he could hear the lyrics. Finally the owner of the voice came into view and he was quick to notice the amount of accessories she carried on her. He observed the bells she wore and the scarf before he looked her over better. She was rather pretty, with a variation of spots he'd never quite seen before on another. It seemed she hadn't been aware of him though and his curiosity turned to surprise as she turned wary of him. Instantly she was crouching and trying to slink away from him. That certainly wouldn't do! It seemed she was afraid of him which didn't please him in the slightest. He wasn't scary! Or at least he didn't find himself to be. So he rose to his paws and began to head over towards her slowly, calling out as he did so. "Wait! Ye don' have to leave. Ah'm not gonna hurt ye." He said softly, pausing as he didn't want to scare her off by getting to close. "Wha' was tha' song ye were singing?" Walk, "Talk" Think |
