The last few days had been a blur for the girl. What had even happened? She couldn't remember; no-one had told her anyway. All she could recall was the mass of wolves surrounding her and the confusion on her features as she tried to push through the tide. All she wanted to see were her mothers and sister, letting them curl over and cuddle her. The worst sight her emerald eyes had seen that day was her mother crying. She never cried. She was an adult; adults were strong, they didn't cry. It was normal for Diana to cry; she always cried. But her mother? What had happened? Was it to to do with those two wolves fighting? One who she didn't know was her brother and the other her father?

She had returned to Fiori under her mothers' wary eye, feeling an atmosphere of pride and relief drift around her family and pack. Although she didn't speak much, she picked up on the emotions of others rather well and always found herself studying their facial features, trying to uncover their inner thoughts. She was quite good at it, she had to admit. Eventually she had persuaded her mothers to leave the den, though had promised to stay within the pack. No longer did she have a problem navigating through Fiori, in fact, the mangroves were feeling more familiar with each exploration. Her social skills was the actual problem, but that was never going to change.

She wandered through the area with long, confident strides, entertaining herself with an amusing little walk. Sometimes she'd skip, pounce or hop - anything to keep herself happy. Softly singing a little tune she made up on the spot, ebony paws carried her across the terrain until her gaze found an unfamiliar grey figure perched upon a rock ahead of her. She stopped dead in her tracks, melting into the trees and hoping the stranger didn't see her.
