Curiosity killed the cat.

Wasn't that how the saying went? Well then, surely Aristè should be dead, for she let her paws carry her away once again. Lost herself to the thoughts that plagued her, the memories she allowed herself to dwell on from time to time. But never for too long, she wouldn't get mopey. Just enough for her perpetually tense shoulders to relax, robotic, purposeful motions melting into a casual, graceful gait. Having her guard down wasn't a luxury she had since she was a mere pup - days she hardly remembered, until now.

Ambling toward the bay, the fae let her nose guide her. Black nostrils flared, picking up the scent of seawater as she arrived. Rough pads traversed over rocky terrain with ease, leaping over the familiar surface until callused paws landed softly in the sun-warmed sand.

Head twisting to look down the beach, she squinted in the midday light, trying to avoid the glare. Inhaling again, she more thoroughly took note of the scents, eyes closing for a moment, before opening once more. This place was good, especially if there was no one else here. With another glance, she ambled down the shore, letting the sun warm her dark pelt, but not until she was uncomfortable. Perhaps if she did, she would dip into the water, just getting her coat wet.

Long legs stretching, she propelled herself forward, breaking into a short, impatient run out of boredom. Kicking up sand in her wake, she slowed a ways from where she had begun. Snorting, she plopped herself down in the sand, inexpressive gaze falling back on the sea of rolling and leaping blue waves. Audits twitching, a salmon coloured tongue snaked out to wet her nose, as she settled in to tuning in to nature.
