Just because he belonged to a pack now, doesn't mean that he couldn't travel. Right? He had spent a good part of his life now alone, and being in the packlands felt almost claustrophobic. There was nothing small about Borealis, aside from its member base, but that was something that could easily be solved. And yet, he needed to get out, needed to breathe in some fresh air somewhere else. So he had left the pack when it seemed nothing was happening, and wandered around. It was aimless, really, but then again everything about Arcus seemed to be aimless. Ever since the start, just a roaming storm crashing down over whatever land he found himself in. But he knew he was nothing more than a loud voice, a deep growl. He didn't have the lightning, he didn't have the rain, he was just...noise.

Pathetic, wasn't it?

With a growl, he sat before the river, staring into it's depths. Pest was sitting on his shoulder blade, pruning his feathers and trying to be quiet. The Bird was stupid, but it knew when to be quiet in order to survive Arcus' temperament. He had come too close to losing his feathers to Arcus' teeth. "Have you heard from Shaye?" The brute whispered, his lone eye soft and staring at Pest in the waters reflection. There was something so vulnerable about the way he had said it, something broken beneath the rumbles, that had the bird tilting its head and twittering his negative. No, he hadn't heard from the gentle female and her bird. With a sigh, Arcus turned to look back at the waters, staring at the twisting scars along his face. A beast, really. "Good..." He whispered, defeated, as he shrugged his bird from his perch. Without another sound, Pest flew off, knowing Arcus didn't want him around.
