She found it weird how everyone went around with thundering paws and booming voices, frightening the reserved child, and then apologised for being so loud. Why couldn't everyone be quiet and gentle, like her? Why couldn't everyone be nice to each other, instead of fighting one another to solve a silly problem? "It's a-alright," she mumbled feebly, staring down at her ebony paws. She didn't know what else to say to her cousin. She wanted to thank him for being quiet and not scaring her as much as her other pack-mates did, but it was too late now. Besides, he'd probably find it strange.
It was quite nice of him to suggest them exploring together, especially since they had just met. It couldn't be that bad, could it? It was just like adventuring with her sister and mothers, only not as fun. She couldn't deny his request, anyway. That would be rude, and she didn't want to hurt his feelings. "O-Okay," she answered in a small voice, waddling after him as they began their walk through the mangrove. She could feel her heart pound against her ivory chest. Why was she still worried? Maybe she'd get used to him; it just took some time.
