You Got What You Came For

He had heard that Surreal had gotten her pack, but his kids had been too little for him to leave his own lands. But now that he knew they were fine on their own, he made the long trek towards the west. It was a long one, that was for sure. He was panting in the intense heat by the time he had found Surreal's scent markers, flopping down to his rump as he gave himself a moment to compose himself. After several moments, he tipped up his head and gave a call for the leading lady. They hadn't talked since she had come to him, and it was about time that they spoke once more. After his call had ended, he lowered his head and kept his golden eyes on the horizon.
