Time was, in many ways, a fickle thing. Had it not just been yesterday that she was the newly-appointed Queen of Seracia? How had the years passed so quickly? So much had changed, and so much had been lost, since she had seen Leon last. "Everything we had.. is gone," Epiphron would tell her cousin gently, her gaze fixing on him for a long moment. Though her voice was graced with a touch of sadness, this was not news to her as it was to Leon; she'd had time to see their family crumble, to see her kin scatter like leaves on the wind. Still, Leon owed her no apology. He'd had his own path to worry about at the time. "Do not apologize," she spoke softly, but sternly, her head bowing slightly, ears flicking atop her skull - one, torn and tattered, a reminder of just how much things had changed for them all.
"Most everyone is gone, yes," she said, the sadness in her voice heightening. "This pack here -" she'd gesture to the side gently, before turning back to him. "- it is run by my son Leo." He'd certainly been named with her cousin in mind, and a brief, light smile touched her lips as she spoke. "My daughter Amalia is here as well. You are certainly welcome to stay with us." Epiphron knew Leo would not pass up the opportunity to let a family member stay here. It seemed Leo had lost his own family.. three of his children, that he'd had with Ashtoreth. A soft sigh fell from her lips as she felt some of the tension fall from her shoulders. "I'm sorry," she offered him tentatively. "The rest of my children are gone, as well. I know how it feels.."
