White as Snow

Around her were trees as white as snow. Their branches tangled above her and draped vines down to the ground. No season was defined in this place and it could be anywhere. There was something oddly peaceful and odd about it. The woman lay a little bit away from a pool that was located in the center of the coppice. The water inside was the clearest she'd ever seen, you could look down until darkness swallowed the bottom. Fish could be seen swimming in the depths, but she had no desire to hunt them.
She shuffled until her side rested against the smooth alabaster bark, looking leisurely at the ring of stones that surrounded the pool. Drawings were etched upon them in patterns. They reminded her of the cave paintings where she found the ink she'd dyed her fur with. With a lazy smile, the girl rested her head on her paws, observing the strange place.
