Once the woman had regained her breath as much as she could, she looked over to where Creed was standing next to a tree. He seemed to be looking at a piece of bark peeling off the trunk that she could see with perfect clarity among the other blurs that everything else had become. Head pulsing, her eyes closed, blocking the harsh sunlight.
Her blue eyes only opened again when a shadow was cast over her and the echo of something being placed before her resounded in her ears. She lifted her head and looked to the man above. There was water cupped in the bark, glistening enticingly. He was being so nice to her. Tilting her head back down to the ground, she listened as he told her to drink. His voice left no room for argument. She lapped up the water, her eyes close to watering with the relief it brought her throat. Already, the clouds over her mind had cleared a little. Unfortunately it did nothing to ease her headache.
"Once yer feelin' up ta it Ah insist ye come back ta Celestial with me so tha' our healer can look ye over. We have a lake so ye'll like it." Eyes widening, Locha looked up at the man. Even in her unclear state of mind, she knew she couldn't get back to Donostrea as she was, and it wasn't like Creed was a stranger. Conjuring the best smile she could, she agreed with a scratchy voice:
"Thank you, Creed. You better not be kidding about the lake. " Unsteadily, the woman rose to her paws, looking for all the world like a newborn fawn.
"Speech!"
