Life had the best turn around she could think of and she was enjoying every minute of it. Despite the loss of her loving mother she had gained another to look up to. She was growing fast and would soon be turning a year old. She was long, lean, and leggy but the pretty young girl still retained her beautiful chocolate coat with light blue markings. Maximous had been her savior and had done a wonderful job raising her so far. They had done some traveling and were making their way back North. There had been talk of joining a pack and she assumed that soon they would need to. Their had been rumors of a sickness outbreak and with Winter around the corner they would need a pack to ensure their survival. Max had helped her draw back to her happy playful self and despite not meeting many others so far, she felt fairly outgoing. She was looking forward to finding a pack to accept them because she was ready to start a new chapter in her life.
Today the rain had held off, but the air still remained damp and the sky still cloudy. She missed the sunshine and it felt like forever since she felt it's warm rays. She contently walked along side her adoptive father as her curious eyes took in the surroundings around them. The sights and the smells were new and she was beginning to get antsy, she wanted to run all over the place and check everything out. Though she tried to contain herself she found it rather difficult. Bright green eyes looked over to seek his blue eyes a slight pleading look within them. She knew not to stray to far and in fact never liked to be to far from him, but she was so energetic that she almost had to. She buried her nose into the thickened fur of his neck before picking up her pace so she could be a bit ahead of him. Nose to the ground the young female took in the new scents, blind to the boarder marker of the pack territory. She smelled other wolves, fairly recent scents, but still didn't realize that this land was claimed. She allowing time for Maximous to catch up while she checked out a small frog hidden by a rock.
