She listened quietly as Inga's voice softly washed over her, the knowledge that these would be their last words together solidifying into a sad acceptance. She pressed her shoulder gently to Inga's, sharing her warmth that the elder might be comfortable as she took her last breaths, but did not interrupt her words, until her voice failed, and her pale head slumped limply. Katja shifted that her head curved over Inga's neck. "Måtte gudene får du med glede," she murmured into the woman's ear, though she was likely already beyond hearing. "Du visdom og veiledning ...
