I'm so perplexed it's almost shocking

Epiphron knew she had not been the best pack member. She'd missed a meeting of some sort recently - she tended to keep to herself lately, and she was often outside of Fiori's territories. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy being among packmates, but many of them were preoccupied with things that didn't involve her directly. She did miss her children, especially those that were no longer here, but she knew she needed to spend time with those that remained. Her movements were slow as she wove between the mangrove trees, no real goal in sight. With the gradual shift of seasons, the forest was becoming chillier with each day that passed, and with the chill brought her a slight feeling of restlessness. She caught a hint of Leo's scent long before she approached him, and she would re-direct herself toward him, eager as always to speak with her son. A smile painted her aging features as she spotted him and her pace quickened, her head dipping in slow greeting. "Leo," she'd call out to him happily, tail waving in a wide arc. "Long time no see." |
