The sound of his father’s voice was surprising, but certainly welcoming to the young man as he turned his head towards the direction of the brute. His ears perked up, an excited smile spreading across his face as he got on all fours, pressing up to his father’s leg in relief. “Dad! Boy am I glad to see you.” Having expected more of a scolding, one that would probably come later. His blue eyes would shift to Avalon, his tail wagging happily. “She’s been really kind to me, dad.” He smiled happily at Avalon.
“She was going to help me home... But then you came along! Oh Dad! Avalon say’s she’s gonna start a pack. Can our packs be friends? Pleeeeeease?” The boy had lost all sense of anxiety now, replaced by excitement as he looked from his father to his aunt. Then he looked back to Leo, giving a soft whine as he pawed at the dirt. “I know we’ll probably talk about it more when we get home but... I wanted to say sorry for wandering off...”
