So Light Em Up

The woman was hunting though her mind was even more busy than her paws. Carletta found herself unable to focus very well on her task and it wasn’t just the chill of winter that had her distracted. Her mind was on meeting the orange and white alpha of Fiori, as well as her family. Decisions would need to be made soon. The silver, white, and black wolfess let out a soft breath of white mist into the air. If only she were able to make these sorts of decisions easier... But it wasn’t just her life it would affect. It’d affect the lives of her sister and the two children she’d sworn to raise and protect.

Then a different scent caught Carletta’s attention. She wasn’t too familiar with foxes, but she could pick up at least that the other scent was canine-esc. The female was curious, trailing the creature down. Sure it might not have been a prey animal, but perhaps... Perhaps what? Carletta wasn’t really sure what she was expecting to find. Maybe it would lead her to prey? She frowned, furrowing her brow. Look at her... A scavenger! What was she thinking!? Butt by that thought she’d already seen the creature laying there in the snow. With a soft sigh she gave a bark, wondering if the creature would turn to regard her or just start running.
