Bass Destruction

He was most definitely sulking. He had pretty much just been patrolling and making sure that stuff gone done, but besides that he was a bump on a log. He sat on top of his stone den and just... breathed. As much as he told himself that he had to get over Wren, it wasn't that simple. He still loved her, even after all she had done. He couldn't just bury his feelings like that for her, they had been together most of his life. And now, now she had left him, again. It made him wonder if she had been using him the whole time. If it had been his pack that attracted her to him. They slept side by side every night for the longest time, but then she was just... gone. And then she was away more than she was there. When she came back they had their first litter, but even that hadn't been enough to make her stay. Not even their second litter had filled whatever hole she was trying to fill. He wasn't good enough, not to truly make her love him. He kicked at a stone at the thought, not realizing that it was a little too big to just be kicked at like that. His eyes flew wide as a stream of curse words left his lip, hopping around the plains with his throbbing paw in the air. Shit. He was a stupid, stupid man. And not just for attacking too big rocks. For everything. He had been fooled into thinking that Wren had truly cared for him, but it was obvious that she didn't. If the tides were reveres, he would never be able to just abandon his family like that, not time and time again. Soon the pain ebbed away in his paw, but his chest still stung. He felt like someone was biting into his heart, and he couldn't take a deep breath.

The pale man flopped to the earth, curling into a tight little ball. He was contemplating a nap when a howl called out for him. Slowly lifting his brown marked head up, blinking his golden eyes in confusion. That was Vali, but she wasn't calling from Abaven lands. Curious, he rose to his paws once more, slightly favoring the one he hurt, and set off. It took awhile for him to find where the woman was calling him from, until he finally made it to Firefly lake. He spotted the similar hued wolf not too far off, and a small smile spread across his lips. He walked to her side, skirting the edge of the lake as he did so. "And why exactly did you call me all the way out here?" he asked, his vocals lacking their usual gusto.
