Wanna build a snowman?

Oh, damnit. She could hear in his damn words how sad and depressed he was. While she was unsurprised - come on, who wouldn't be if their mate abandoned them? - she did have an overpowering urge to at least do something to cheer him up. She wasn't certain throwing him in the water would do the trick, but... hey. He did happen to stop at a perfect point - there was a small drop into water deep enough to go halfway to three quarters up the legs. It was just perfect for him to fall into, flailing.
Still, sorrow tinted her eyes as she stared up at the man. She felt... not sorry for him, but deeply sympatthetic. She could not know the feeling, nor imagine it truly how it was, but she had a picture - if someone she loved to the degree Bass loved Wren (it seemed a lot), and was repeatedly abandoned by her, to the point she left even her own pups... well, that'd hurt. A lot. To say the least.
She approached him, wordlessly, brushing against him affectionately in greeting, as was befitting a close friend. However, she took a couple steps further than necessary, so her hsoulders wee aligned with his. Only then did she answer his question: "To distract you," she said simply, as she threw her weight into a shove against Bass' shoulder, hoping to trip him into the water below. It wouldn't hurt him - just get him wet, especially if he fell on his side.
