A hunting we will go!

He really hadn't expected anyone to show, or at least the male was convinced no one wouldn't. Why would they, he wasn't of any important rank so they wouldn't have to. He sighed wondering how long should he sit and wait. Although when the rustle of brush and the familiar black and green form came into view the male felt relief. Someone was going to show up and he felt somewhat important now. A bright smile spread across his features as Zeph drew closer. A polite greeting then she asked if this were to be a pack hunt. With a few wags of his tail the male nodded.
"Yes I hope that this should be the first pack hunt and I'm glad you came," he replied.
Not long after the large form of the older male known as Xeph appeared, Jackson dipping his head in a polite yet quite greeting towards the male. Soon a third form and finally a fourth making the count five wolves for a hunt. He felt nervous yet he was excited all at once. This was plenty of wolves to bring down a good meal, maybe even two. He was sure his brother would be pleased. Once all had settled he cleared his throat and looked over the group.
"I have called a gathering in hopes of getting a pack hunt together, we need to learn how to work as a team to take down a significant meal to feed the pack. Now I have been monitoring the local herd which sticks to the outskirts of our borders. Right now we have about 30 head with at least 4 or 5 different young bucks that intermingle with them. We want to aim for the weaker and the older so that the herds number remains steady," he said looking to each face with a smile.
"I have picked out one large doe in particular today who has a vary pronounced limp and has been falling further and further towards the edge of the herd, I feel it will be rather easy to cut her from the herd and take her down, maybe we could even take down two deer today... Those who are up for it fallow me," he said before getting up and leading the way to his hidden spot before the herd's current location.
