This winter was a rather mild one, the girl had noticed. She'd heard stories of how brutal this season could be - the gods were often angry ones, and they could cause storms that could carry away wolves with the wind, if they so wanted. Asvor had heard about storms so strong that you couldn't see outside of your own den, no matter how hard you tried. She was grateful for the easiness, especially since she had been spending more time on her own as of late, but she also longed for adventure like those in the stories her mother had told her so often. Frowning a bit as she stepped out of her den, eyeing the blanket of freshly fallen slow that blanketed the earth, she gazed to the sky.

It was blindingly white, dappled with clouds and a sun that struggled to shine through. Her red-furred face tilted upwards as her crimson stare searched the heavens, as though for some sort of answer. Of course, she was looking for answers for the real important questions - like what she was going to do today. Shuffling her paws beneath her, she would head off, her gait light though her expression was tight as she wandered aimlessly through the pines.
