Peregrine had just about had enough of winter, and elected not to think about the many long weeks that still lay ahead of them. She sighed, and slogged through the sodden moor. It was not cold enough to freeze, and yet not so warm to keep the damp, bone-chilling cold from seeping into her very soul. She frowned up at the thick, iron clouds that roiled above her. They promised either another icy deluge or snow and lots of it. She would prefer neither, thank you very much. She looked back over her shoulder to where Tsiry rode and sighed. "Have you seen anywhere we might get out of the elements?" The lemur frowned and shook her head.

The world around them was mostly flat, peppered with the occasional hillock and many tangles of scrub plants and herbs, but it was all low and sparse. The best she could hope for would probably be to recycle an old, abandoned den assuming she could even find one. It was looking pretty hopeless. She sighed once again and, once again, prayed that the clouds would move on without assailing her. All things considered, this was a wonderful land she'd found. Much of it's annual yield had died away but many more hardy species were holding their own again the mild Winter they'd experienced so far. Maybe if the clouds began to break up before they lost the light of the day she would sniff around but for now she simply sought somewhere to sleep.
