It wasn't long at all before Peregrine found herself assaulted by a pair of... well, one she was pretty sure was a wolf, but the other had her puzzling. The first to approach her, a dark and earthy fae, seemed mostly interested in her satchel. Peregrine did not have more than a moment to be surprised before she noticed another wolf approaching through the fog. "It's a satchel," she began, focusing more on the other wolf approaching them. She seemed almost mechanical in the thoughtless way she moved, but suddenly came to a stop not far away. "I am more interested in your golden snack," she said. "I'll let you shelter in my snatch for your lunch." Peregrine's eyes flew wide, and she let out a small guffaw, muted by shock alone. Her eyes danced back to the first female and murmured, affecting that this unexpectedly rude woman had interrupted something. "It's a satchel, I carry things in it to trade for other goods." In a louder voice and with her full attention she addressed the small dark creature.

She had an odd, disaffected way of speaking. Peregrine could not decide if she was offended because she could not yet decide if the dark fae was trying to start something. She raised a brow instead. "Does it have to be subzero for me to seek shelter from rain, too? Pardon me for not asking permission. And Tsiry is not a meal, she's a friend, so keep your maw off." The words leaked from her mouth as easily as oil moved in water, propelled by her drive to push this female. Who was she, and why was she here. She cast a sideways glance to the one beside her to see if she was just as put off as Pere was. Before she knew it another wolf appeared through the mist. "Oh, for the love of..." She cast a glance over her shoulder to the lemur upon her back, and found her only moments from bolting off into the moorland. Fantastic.

Of course he has some nonsense babble to offer as well. Had she wandered into some test of the Gods, had everyone in the world lost their minds? She lifted her muzzle skyward to offer them the driest of glares before fixing the mostly pale male with the same lifted brow she's given the weirdo. "Not sure what a 'norn' is, but my bet is the future is filled with misery and toil, just like the past." She tossed him a cheeky grin before turning herself broadside and giving each of the sudden new arrivals a once over. "Do you all know one another or are the gods playing games with us today?" It seemed fair to ask, perhaps there was an explanation, or perhaps the coming storm had driven them all to seek protection. Around her, the wind began to pick up and wail. Either way, she wasn't sure they were going to be able to find a den big enough for them all.
