His hesitation was nearly tangible and Sabine could almost hear his gears turning. He was probably wondering if she was serious. 'Is this a trick?' he was probably thinking. "What do you mean?" he muttered in a tone Sabine thought lacked confidence. She found his unease delicious; his reaction buoying her mood.
The giantess crept closer, seeking to close the distance until she stood next to her boy. She then crouched down beside him so her face was roughly level with his and leaned forward on her toes in the hopes of invading his personal space. She intended to get close enough to feel his breath on her face. That kind of closeness was usually uncomfortable for her because it was a kind of intimacy she didn't share with many. Letting someone get that close to her was dangerous and didn't give her much time to react should the situation suddenly change and an attack be sent her way. With distance she could sense and prepare for attacks easier, but without sight to aid her, her reaction time with closer distances could easily be diminished depending on the situation. With her boy she was willing to chance it simply because he'd tasted her fury once. Surely he wasn't foolish enough to risk it again; he had to know that if there was a next time, she would tear him apart.
Having never seen one, she couldn't accurately fake an innocent expression, but when she spoke next her tone was nothing if not sugary and that more than made up for it. "How could I forgot? You've been such an enchanting companion." Maybe she was laying it on a little thick, but eh. "What if I told you I found you absolutely irresistible?" Her query ended on a purr, her lips lifting slightly in barely concealed amusement. Did she have his interest yet? Would he bite or would he reject her?
