We Are Made From Broken Parts

The caramel and chocolate brown maiden listened to the sounds of the birds. Sometimes, she swore that they were poking fun at her, causing her to flare up in both anxiety and rage. What kind of issue was supposed to cause this to happen to her, for it seemed every day she woke up, they were laughing at her due to her 'personality'. The sun had revealed her shadow multiple times, but the dame did not notice this and thought that someone was following her as she looked down to the silhouette and gave a deep growl. "Stop following me!" She barked, pawing at the ground almost as if attacking a foe, that, unknown to the dame, was non-existent. She sighed, missing her mother and father dearly, though they had left and never came back, leaving the woman alone almost as if they abandoned her. Sticks did not even know if they were still alive, but oh well.
Her ocean blue eyes scanned the area until happening to see a scarred dame nearby a lake. Her eyes narrowed in both confusion and almost as if she were being spied on. She leapt into the bushes closeby, poking her head out from time to time and giving a small call, almost as if she were giving a code to someone who was not even near her as she soon bolted and stood beside the other dame, scanning her up and down. "Did those birds put you up to this, following me?!" She spoke, turning her head to the crows that gave a caw to show that they were there. She growled, "Mind your own business!" She then looked to the grass at her paws, "Do you believe these people?" She spoke, almost expecting a response before looking back to the scarred woman again.
