The injured bull elk was struggling frantically now as each wolf took their turn wounding it further, weakening it little by little. With each painful bite, it whipped its head to and fro, unable to decide upon which wolf to fend off first. Esarosa knew it would be of no use to the animal now - they would only have to take advantage of its confusion now to get it on the ground. But, as she distracted the elk, unbelievably, it looked like Ritsy had taken a step back, resigning from his attack when there was no time to waste. She wanted to yell at him, to scold him for minimizing their chances, but she couldn't waste her breath. Instead, she had work to do when Dag made her attack on the other side of the elk's body, causing the beast to kick and turn, bleating toward the dark gray female.

Realizing that she would have to get closer to the elk's head if they were to make a killing blow, she aimed a bite first at the back of its elbow, just above the bony joint. Her lower fangs dug through soft skin on the inner part of the elbow, piercing into the limb's main artery, her upper fangs slicing through muscle. She clamped down hard and shook her head, her whole body giving her momentum and force to do so, tearing through delicate tissues and causing blood to pulse from the open wound. When the elk swung its head toward her, she let go and bounced backward, out of reach of its antlers. She could tell it was slowing down now, panic and blood loss causing it move inefficiently. Then Dag would attack the back of its leg; with wounds in opposite ends of its body, it was losing balance quickly.

It stumbled, offering Esa the chance to go for its face as it tried to right itself, as though it might try to flee. She rushed in front of it, taking a mighty leap toward its face and snapping her jaws shut on the sensitive skin at the front of its snout, right between its nostrils. With all four paws back on the ground, she pulled and thrashed, bringing the bull's head as close to the ground as possible. This was their chance - it was fatigued, losing balance and had little ability left to fight.

OOC: Skipping Ritsy as agreed upon. Luns, go ahead and make the kill shot, I think we have enough posts/rounds for it to meet requirements, right? If not, it's open for us to keep going another round.
