but you never close the door

She chucked softly, nodding. "It would be," she agreed quietly. "This is home, now. I don't think I'd want to be anywhere else." And that went double; being in Abaven, and being here with Lark right now. She wondered if he would pick up on that; probably not, and that made Lillie laugh a little, nevermind the fact that he'd probably question why. If he did, then so be it, she'd just tell him - she was happy, hear, in this moment. Very happy indeed.
She felt simultaneously soothed and flamed her willing nuzzle, though all that halted as he flinched away from her touch, and her ears flattened, a soft, uncontrolled whine breaking through, and she herself pulled back a bit, concern in her eyes - not that he could see. But then he started speaking again, and he didn't move away, so she stayed there, her head slowly ducking and shifting back down against his neck. She smiled again as he commented on not wanting to bore her, though there was still... not unhappiness, but not entirely happy either; she was a tinge upset from the flinch. Was he okay? Did he fear her? What - what? Her turmoltuous thoughts were suddenly on pause as she felt a subtle pressure against her head. Wait - now he was pressing back? Did that mean he was okay with whatever-the-hell-this-was?
Not willing to give up the sudden chance she was given, Lillie twisted her head to the side, doing a much more firm and insistent nuzzle than before, and even leaned her body towards him, shifting her paws from under her to sticking out the side as she laid more on her side than her stomach. "I don't know, I'm pretty happy like this," she murmured, the words somewhat muffled by his fur. Yes, she was more than willing to stay like this, basically wrapped up in the man she had grown to care for very much, in this weird relationship that she couldn't really identify what it was - not that she wanted to question it. That was scary. But she could stay like this, quite fine.

Note: Lillie has scars over her right eye and down her cheek. She also has scars under her chin and on her jaw. Her tables and art will most likely not reflect this. Unless it is specified otherwise, assume Lillianna is accompanied by her companion.
