Peregrine could hardly believe her eyes. She squinted. Yup, it appeared that this wolf actually was glowing. Even from this distance she could see the light bouncing about on the sands beneath it's feet. Well, it was probably a god or something, right? Real wolves didn't glow. A thought flitted between her ears and she smiled to herself. She'd never had the chance to bother a god before. Tail upright, she trotted down from the dark dune she'd been sleeping upon, finding it a warm bed beneath the weak spring sun, even as the ocean blew a cold wind inland. The creature seemed quite keen on studying the make up of beach it had found, and at once Peregrine began to see the dark sands as something valuable instead of a mere novelty. "Hello there," she called out. "You don't look like you're from around here!" That much should be obvious, of course.

She tried not to ogle at the qualities of her fur. If she were able to kill this creature and take the pelt, would it continue to glow? And what price could she ask for that? ...Perhaps she was getting ahead of herself. "Either you are some sort of deity or someone slipped something unsavory into my morning meal." She was glad that Tsiry had chosen to comb the beach farther down the shore, because she would have raised a hellish fit at the prospect of greeting such an unusual being. Then again, she'd never believe Pere's tale and almost wished she had come along instead.
