Peregrine was thrilled to taste the male's blood in her mouth. The bite she'd aimed at his ear had fallen off target due to his contortions but it had fallen all the same, causing some slight damage. Her smaller frame did not seem to have much impact at all as she pushed away from him, but she supposed that was to be expected. Her next attack was slightly more effective, and although his quick movements put his shoulder ahead of her bite, she was able to make purchase with his flank, teeth grazing against the ribs directly behind his left front leg. Then, Rivaxorus attempted an attack of his own. It seemed for all the world as if he reached for her hind right leg, but she currently stood on his left flank, teeth dug into his first or second rib. Surely his neck was not so elongated that he could reach her hind limbs at all without pushing forward much further, and then of course her right leg was clear on the other side of her body.

The attack would instead collide with her own left flank, the very flank blocking his path to the desired limb. It would cause only moderate damage, landing primarily atop her seventh rib, exactly halfway between her spine and underbelly due to his crouched positioning. He may have been able to do more damage if he had not tugged his head to the right, away from her flank. This caused additional minor ripping damage and drew a snarl out from between her jaws, though she refused to let go of her prize, opting instead to tighten her jaws further in the attempt to cause additional severe damage within the same wound. As he tore his jaws away from her, she took another opportunity to collect herself.

Her stance remained stable, paws anchored to the ground by her grasping claws and limbs spaced evenly apart to ensure good balance. Her tail aligned with her neck and spine to further that gain. She reminded her joints to loosen, resetting her center of gravity into a lower position. Her ears remained pinned to the top of her head and squinted her eyes until they were no more than slivers. She once again rolled her shoulders so that as much skin as possible was pushed forward to sit between his jaws and her neck. She tightened the muscles of her abdomen, steeling herself against other potential attacks. She tilted her jaws downwards as well as she could while maintaining the bite, her only real fear being the removal of her jugular. She could recover from most anything else, after all. Finally she shifted just enough weight backwards to begin storing it in her hind legs, ready to move yet again at the first indication of opportunity.

She took her chance the moment she felt stable and collected. He seemed to push against her grip causing some discomfort in her nose but no real damage, and it seemed as good a time as any. She at last allowed her jaws to detach from his left flank. The woman would then attempt to quickly dart forward, wanting to move only about two feet in one quick step. This movement would hopefully place them parallel yet facing in opposite directions, yet directly side-by-side. Her target was his own left hind leg, planning to show the big male exactly how it was done. Her fearsome jaws sought to wholly clamp down upon his hind leg, to place the leg as wholly within her mouth as possible and crunch. She aimed specifically for his knee joint with her topmost jaw seeking the outer side of his leg and her lower jaw seeking it's inner counterpart, hoping that she would be able to press down upon it with her molars, the teeth precisely designed for breaking bones in the meals she ate, while her canines and incisors would be able to rip at the muscle which hid behind it, and as a whole allow her to crush the crucial joint into pieces while crippling the male as effectively as possible.

If all went well he would be utterly unable to place weight on the limb. She the lifted her left forepaw, taking a moment to aim before slamming it down, aiming to crush the toes of his hind left leg and break a toe or four. Finally she pitched her shoulder to the left, aiming to slam it into the soft space on his abdomen behind his ribs yet before the connection of his hind leg, approximately two-thirds of the way down from his spine and only six to eight inches in front of his hind left leg. She knew this area to hold many an important organ, and direct trauma to any of them was bound to be unpleasant. She could feel that things were winding down. It would not be long at all before they knew the outcome of all this, and whether or not it had all been for nothing. She strained her senses for any clue as to what the male might do next.
