there were no cracks to grasp or gaps to claw
This summer was going to be harsh, at least they would have water from the melting snow. Yet with ever mild weather pattern there became horrible things in tow. As the male would pull himself over the borders. His eyes would be looking out for any source of life. Liar was on half of a border patrol, he hadn't took any wolves with him. Yet honestly it was a habit of his to do these things. A low grumble in his throat. He was almost alienated. Well so be it at least, it wasn't as if the exotic male hadn't been hated before. If many of these wolves knew what he had done in the past, he would be condemned to death. Liar let his head hang lower, throwing away the thoughts - he suppressed himself. Suppressed all of those emotions he had beaten into thinking were unreal.
The pines would provide a little bit of shade, as he walked along the edge of the border. He was starting to think less now - thankful for that. He started to follow the scent line. Right along the edge as if it was a game. Head down staring at the terrain he would almost run into a tree. Head up he looked at the tree. For a moment in the middle of his mind, he silently wondered what it would look like if it were to be burning. Oh well, for now he would continue to look and see if anything had stumbled into their borders. Perhaps later he would bring the pups some food. Or... make the whole lot of them do a group hunt on a rabbit and see how they did.
