Home Sweet Hole

Travelling with another was certainly not something he was accustomed to, but he found that he much preferred it over being alone. Even if he was not exactly an avid conversationalist, the mere presence of another was nice. That was true without even mentioning the added benefits; easier hunting, for one. The longer he traveled with Faite, the more certain he became that he had made the right choice in pursuing this avenue of opportunity. Still, that did not ease the nervousness Adrian felt. Most of his time had been spent thinking.
Should he attempt to prepare responses, or a speech for this meeting that was sure to come? While ordinarily that might seem like a wise idea, here he did not believe it would be necessary. From what his companion had described, the pack seemed to be structured around honor and integrity, two values which were central to his beliefs as well, so he had no intention of otherwise betraying them. So in the interest of building trust, he would be completely honest. That seemed like the best approach he could take.
Once he detected the obvious signs of a pack nearby, the tan wolf knew they were getting close. Were it not for his being in the presence of Faite, he would have already turned and gone another way. Adrian allowed her to guide him into the pack territory, though he proceeded with increased caution. He did not want anything to surprise him. He had yet to see anyone just yet, but the scents were very obvious. When she paused beneath the limbs of a tree, he found he was grateful. He had not realized just how hot the sun was until he'd stepped beneath the shade.
A call, presumably for her brother went up from his companion, who had adopted a seated position near the tree to wait. Probably a wise idea not to go any further with someone who was a complete stranger to the rest of her group. Though she seemed incredibly at ease, he could not quite relax that much, himself. He would force himself to sit back. She did not tell him what her sibling looked like, but that did not stop his eyes and ears from flickering in every direction while waiting for the first sign of someone.
