Seeing his brother had done wonders for the healer, and it left him with a gentle smile on his face. He felt... relieved. As if a cloud had been lifted off of him; a cloud of despair and fear that had been soothed by his brother's words and actions. For some reason, he'd been waiting for that: the confirmation and reassurance that he'd be forgiven. That they still loved him. Still, he'd not accompany Lark to return to Abaven; it was something he had to do on his own... though soon. He'd do it soon.

Right now, he'd enjoy the tranquility of the lake, though it was shallower than usual. It was a rather dry summer, but that was okay - mostly - for the East. If he decided to try and cultivate any herbs, though, he might have a problem trying to keep them alive. For now, though, water supplies were good.

He rounded the edge, nose to the ground, wondering if he'd find any more good catches, when he caught site of a somewhat familiar form. This was Qualm, if he recalled. He remembered helping them be born, and also tending to Qualm when he was returning to Abaven after having been attacked by a bird. It was a miracle that he somehow managed to get away before he was killed or fatally wounded; he remembered his relief in finding that all of the boy's injuries had been mostly minor, with only a few moderate to severe.

Now he was here, and an adult now, if Starling recalled properly. And... while he felt weird about approaching someone, he decided to be social anywho and approached quietly. "Qualm?" he questioned quietly.
