Feel the hunger

The man's black lips twitched, curling back as he spit at the ground in disgust. A frustrated growl - no, frustrated didn't cut it - ripped past his exposed fangs as he stormed through the dark, foggy forest. The summer heat was still felt, but for Ehrgeiz, it would have felt like a breath of relief from the relentless cold of the north, if he wasn't too angry to notice. Why was he so furious? His master had ditched him! She'd ditched him, leaving him at the battlefield with a clear command not to follow her, to busy himself until he was retrieved. And she'd gone with some young brute in tow, the very one that had approached them during the fight, the one he'd felt an instant flare of jealousy for. With a furious snarl, he stopped at the base of a dead-looking tree, rearing onto his hind legs as he brought his forepaws up against the barks, digging his dull claws in.
He shouldn't have shown any signs that he had disapproved of the blue-coated male's approach. Sabine had probably done this on purpose, she had probably noticed his distaste and thus offered her attention to the stranger just to torment him. He was merely a slave, but he had developed a most bizarre attraction to his captor, and he hated the idea of sharing her, when he just wanted her all to himself. And yet, it would never be his right to have her, when in fact he was owned by her..
Still, he was angry. It wasn't fair. How had this all happened? He brought his paws back to the ground with a heavy thud. Why did he have to wait around while she had her fun? What did she expect him to do? Just sit around counting the seconds? Huffing, he threw himself to the ground, like a child throwing a fit. His claws dug into the ground, and then he firmly place his head down, his singular blue eye staring off into the murky distance. Maybe if he just lay here, the time would pass without his notice and he would once again follow his master wherever she desired to go next.
