Before he saw her, he heard her - a shuffling of paws and a steady approach, and finally her voice. Her response brought a hearty laugh from him, the sound booming from his chest with ease. A cur? He'd be foolish to even hint such a word at her. He might lose an eye. "Your words, not mine," he retorted quickly.
It was difficult for him to imagine Sabine being anything but.. his sister. He was full of love, while her affection was much more of a rarity - but their differences didn't matter much to him. "I've missed you too," he admitted readily as she drew closer to him, his snout bumping lightly against her shoulder, tusks grazing her pelt. "Though I'm surprised to see you're living.. in this." His voice was a bit confused, though she was free to live as he liked. It didn't mean he wouldn't tease her over it or that he could even begin to understand.
"It stinks," he'd comment dryly, his gaze searching the interior of the ship. It just wasn't as.. open as the rest of the world. It wasn't totally closed-off, but it was more of an enclosed space than he preferred. "And, Aki would start, eyeing her speculatively as he took in a deep breath, leaning a bit closer to her. "You stink too. Don't tell me..." Something in his gut told him instinctively that he knew what had changed with her, though it was hard to rationalize as he'd never been around many pregnant woman. And truthfully, he hadn't expected Sabine to have children before him. He waited, a bit impatiently, eyeing her for a reaction.
