Oh Joy

With nowhere to call home, Xephyris was traveling a lot - scouting out territory, searching for lone wolves in need of a home, seeking out his former pack mates. So midday, he found himself at the edge of a mountain, a cavern opening visible from the mountain path he was on. It looked like a good place to take a break from his traveling and to get out of the sun. It was no use trying to stay on the move when the sun was shining, and water was scarce to come by in this blistering heat. And speaking of heat... there was a very alluring scent hanging in the air. He paused for a moment, his nose twitching as he realized a female must have passed this way recently, and it was her season. To his delight, he realized that the scent trail left behind led straight to the very cavern he'd intended to take shelter from the sun in. Chuckling to himself, it seemed it might be his lucky day.

His large paws carried him up the path, his pace a little more eager than previously. As he approached the entrance, he realized the woman was still standing outside, her interesting brown mottled coat blending in with the mountain colors. He grinned, approaching the woman until he was a few feet from her, breathing in her scent gently as he stood there. "Well, good afternoon," he greeted the woman, "If you're afraid of the dark, I don't mind escorting you inside. This heat is rather unbearable, isn't it?" His long, thick tail flicked back and forth, silver eyes looking to meet her gaze. What an interesting opportunity to take shelter from the sun with a woman in her season, that is, if she wasn't too shy. Patiently, he waited to see her response.
