The fight had ended in Mercy's favor, but Avalon didn't care. While her wounds throbbed and ached and bled, she had her mind on another matter. She sent Tan ahead to have Vereux prepare his medicines, while she would seek out her son. Some of the things Mercy had said did not go ignored. She sang like a songbird, giving away information that she was pretty sure she wasn't meant to find out. She still didn't know why the hell the white bitch had shown up to her borders besides picking a fight, but it didn't matter now. If she stepped foot into her lands again, she would have a lot more on her plate to deal with than just her. Next time, she would get what she asked for and would have the chance to take on the three wolves she claimed she could beat.
With a determined gait, her entire demeanor right now screamed authority. She was seething, but her face betrayed nothing of the sort. In fact, she held the icy calm that she had before the fight with Mercy. While she was indeed furious, she would keep it hidden for now. The alphess made her way to where the meetings were usually held, and once there, she would climb atop her usual perch before sending out a demanding call for Lykos. She was sick of the constant abuse, so to speak. She had made him the heir because she trusted him, but now, perhaps she had been wrong to all this time. Now, she would confront him about it all. |
