Square Up [Fight Training]

As soon as Ramsay showed up beside him, a familiar grin overcame his features as he leaned into his brother. Everyone was gathering, but his favorite was right here. He let out a happy growl and mouthed at his brother's face and ears if he'd let him, though his own ears caught the voice of the alpha in hushed tones as she conversed with others. During the other meeting, he hadn't paid as close of attention.. but as he was growing older, more interest was shown in the hierarchy. It didn't take long for him to figure out that this was a fight training meeting, and as soon as he did he was sitting tall and attentive.
When Avalon finally addressed all of them and began the official welcome of the meeting, he perked his ears and listened with growing intension. As she began to display the defenses, the youth lifted his rump and flagged out his tail- to show his merriment, not really his dominance, and square his stance just as she had. He found himself mimicking her, spreading his toes and wiggling them in the grass beneath them. When she got to the bit about the tail, there was an obvious wide-eyed look of concern as she mentioned all the possibilities. He could lose it? Jeez that would hurt, and oh... down his tail went, right in between his legs as he cringed at the thought of losing what was between them.
When she'd asked for questions and got to him as she looked them over, he'd shake his head and continue to listen. She began listing pairs and his jowls parted excitedly as he leaned into his brother again while hoping she'd pair them together, his tongue flailing in his expressive pant; though, slowly.. it crawled back into his mouth as he almost thought she would forget about them. Then she said it, she did it! She paired them together. He excitedly growled and hopped forward, then turned his body around quick to face Ramsay and mimic the defenses she'd demonstrated earlier. Paws square, toes spread, align tail and lower neck. Got it. He'd been so excited he didn't hear her ask Esarosa to offer guidance, though it was probably a good thing.. he didn't have the slightest idea what he was doing, but his stubbornness would have protested to the idea of a mentor.
