Ain't My Last Dance

Faite grinned at the child as his tail wiggled. She hadn't needed to ask him if he was ready. The answer was obvious in his body language, but she'd asked anyways just to amuse herself. He was so energetic and hyper that it made her happy she'd been given such a prepared student. He wanted to learn and improve himself and at such a young age. It was great that her sibling was like this. They needed good warriors and with practice she could see him becoming a great one. She examined his form as he quickly took a stance. It made her wonder if he'd already had lessons from someone. She nodded in approval as he spread out his legs and tucked in his tail. His head lowered and the last thing he did was flatten his tail. She studied him for a moment more before smiling. "That's a good start, but there's so much more you need to protect." She's start by motioning with a paw to his throat. "First start by tucking your chin towards your throat that way no one can get you there. That's a very vital spot and could mean the end of a fight." She'd then motion to his face. "It's gonna feel funny, but bunch up the skin on your face into a snarl so it bunches around your eyes and then narrow your eyes. That makes them less of a target." She explained before showing him with her own face before she relaxed her face once again. "There's other skin and fur you can bunch up as well. Like on your shoulders. If you roll that fatty part forward with your shoulders it bundles up around your neck to add extra protection." She'd demonstrate that too before continuing. "You have your legs spread which is good. If you spread your toes too and try and dig your claws into the dirt it gives you better balance and makes you harder to topple over." She then looked to his tail. "Now with your tail I see you have it tucked, but some times it's more helpful when it's not. While you definitely want to protect your private parts your tail can be used for balance. So if someone is trying to knock you over from say... your right side you'll swing your tail to the left and lean to the right into their attack so you don't fall over." She'd then pause there to see if he was still following or if she'd confused him. "Any questions so far?" Walk, "Talk" Think |
