He was back. After having wandered off with Soleon for who knows how long, time had blurred together after having left his home, he was finally back. He'd sated his desire to wander, to know the world, but he was tired of it now. Wandering had been fun for a while, but then homesickness began to set it. As much as his father wasn't around because of pack duties, he missed him. His father was his idol. He was the man Gael looked up to and would always look up to. And although sometimes he wasn't the best dad around, the now one year old missed his old man. And so the young Adravendi had wandered back the way he'd gone, unbridled relief settling into his bones as his ivory paws touched down on familiar soil. The young boy stopped at the battlefield for a brief moment, his ocean blue eyes hidden beneath closed lids as he tasted the air of Alacritis. Familiarity rushed through his veins, the organ in his chest picking up an excited pace. Valhalla was close.
Stirring himself into action, the boy galloped through Ala, intent on returning back to the land that he'd been born in. How would his father react to his return? Would his siblings greet him with open arms? What about his mother? Had anyone even missed him and his brother? Where was his brother, speaking of him? He hadn't seen Soleon since they had both departed from Valhalla. Had his brother already returned to Valhalla or was he still out there exploring? He figured he would find out. Familiar scents, ones he hadn't encountered in a long time, filled his nostrils, warming up his insides. Home. Gael halted at the border, limbs slowing until his gallop had stilled into nothing and he was quietly observing the inside of Valhalla. It didn't look any different than when he had left, but it sure did feel different. The young brute lifted his crown up towards the wind, ebon nasals catching a new scent marker. It was female, but it smelled of family. Was there a new relative of his that had come to power? When he'd left his father had been in charge of the pack. Had something happened between then and now? And if so, then what? There was a lot of catching up that he had to do.
Knowing that anyone who encountered him would easily recognize him as an Adravendi, at least he hoped they would, Gael crossed the border with an easy bound. He could've just stepped over it, but he felt like he needed to firmly plant his paws on his home soil, to prove to himself that he was really home now. But as soon as he crossed over, a strikingly familiar scent invaded his nostrils, stealing his attention. Ocean blue pools tracked the origin of the scent to a creamy female, her crown adorned in a clay shade. He knew that coloring...Azalea! His sister! What was the chance that not even two seconds after having stepped back into Valhalla that he would run into his sister, of all people. Gael barked, his ivory-tipped tail wagging madly behind his haunches as he launched himself forward, powerful stilts propelling the boy forward as he rushed to Aza's side, gaze drinking her in. It was really her. Damn, he'd missed her so much! Aza! he exclaimed happily, showering her clay face with kisses, overjoyed at seeing his sister again.
