keep the pressure up

Things had grown silent since their first meeting and Tonrar felt a certain amount of irritation with it. He wasn't a wolf to be idle and the lack of things to do were rather irritating. He'd taken to exploring parts of Fenrir's Maw, but there was only so much of that and border patrols that he could take. He was a wolf that, while he was capable of working on his own, was used to doing things with the company of others. He had certain expectations that weren't being filled by his new pack members and it bothered him. So he'd slipped away from the territory to go see what else was around them. It was midnight when he did this - he didn't want to skirt his duties the next day. The night offered a cooler temperature than the day and creatures came out at night that you didn't see with the sun up. He hadn't traveled too far when he'd come across the volcano. At first he'd thought it was a typical mountain, but after he'd climbed to the top he realized what it really was. He peered down inside the gaping hole that eventually led to a pit of magma. The sweltering heat that radiated from it was overall annoying and eventually he traveled back down to the base. It was here that he stopped dead in his tracks. Not ten yards from him was a darkened wolf with white bits in her fur. He eyed her curiously but made no notion of wanting to initiate a conversation. Walk, "Talk" Think |
