glide away on soapy heels

Alina wished that she could see some of the places she had wandered to; after all, some probably looked pretty. Or neat. Or both, really. But she was forced to the darkness, unable to see what was going on around her. Well, she could, through scents, hearing, and her own knowledge, but she doubted it would be as good as seeing whatever was going on. Alina was lost in her own thoughts, until the breeze of another wolf running made her look up, as if she were expecting to see what, who, had ran by. Of course she wouldn't, but there was still that pause as the white and black pup waited, nervousness causing her heart to pound as she waited for some sort of danger to come charging through and send her in any direction.
It took her too long to release that it was nothing, a wolf running because they could, and she was gone again, paws carrying her at a quick pace in front of her. Wherever in front of her lead. Which, it seemed, would be in front of some wolf. Tilting her head, the pup spoke, her voice a little harsher than she wanted it to be. "What are you doing? Some of us have places to be." Well, Alina didn't, but someone may. Besides, she was exploring, and she couldn't exactly do that with the other wolf rolling around or whatever they were doing.
Although, if she stepped on them, they deserved it. Maybe they'd learn a lesson.
