It only took a few more days for him to reach this place, though to be honest the journey had been quite fascinating. Especially now that he had a new little companion to enjoy the scenery with. The young girl was refreshing to be around, she was full of curiosity and questions and there never really was a dull moment with her around. He was growing quite fond of her, and wondered why she had been so far from home to begin with. Maybe her parents didn't really care about her? He knew that if he had gone missing for this long were he her age, his mom or someone would have been looking for him. But it seemed, she was doing quite fine. He did promise to take her back home after the journey if she wanted, but he didn't know when exactly that would be nor how long exactly this journey would take. But neither of them seemed to be too much in a rush anyway, and even less so as they approached the rolling plains.
Green eyes widened as he gasped, the plains stretching out for as far as he could see. Above them, the night sky was full of countless stars, more than he'd ever seen before. To top if off, he could see big round shapes much like the moon, but different colors. He stared in aw, jaw hanging slightly open as he laid eyes on the planets above them. Never had he seen such a sight before, and this place was simply breathtaking. He felt like he could stare at the scenery around him forever, but knew that eventually he'd have to press on and see what else this place had to offer besides the most magnificent view ever. He could smell a ton of prey, the grasses and plants, and even water. Perhaps this would be one of those places. He certainly loved it already. He peeked at Kieryn, wondering what she thought of these plains. Though he was pretty damn sure that she was even more awed then he was. |
