The sound of a stranger's approach, disturbing rocks underneath his paws was enough to grab his attention. Aki had been largely focused on traversing the difficult terrain of the mountain pass, so much that Arsenal's approach had come as more of a surprise than it should have. Slowly he came to a hold at a particularly solid piece of earth - or stone, rather - and spun around to face the man. He panted quietly, catching his breath as he found his words.
"Help?" He'd echo with a grin, tail waving in a friendly gesture behind him. "I don't really need help," he'd admit, his tone light. His posture was far from threatening as he assessed the male, who was considerably younger than himself, though seemed even more tired. Perhaps he wasn't as used to climbing mountains? He chuckled lightly. "But company is always appreciated. I caught wind of a few goats somewhere nearby, and was hoping I might find myself a meal, if you'd like to join me." Hunting had never been troublesome for him - he didn't see a need to deny a meal to a man who sounded fatigued enough to warrant a helping paw, and he had gone hungry enough to know it was not the worst thing in the world to eat less than he wanted.
