He is fortunate, for in battle with this Amazon, Pharos hunkers himself. This makes her attack upon her balance more arduous, and although her weight is looming, he can withstand it. Moments before, he had felt his own skull knock the side of her cheek, of which the dull impact resonates. As Pharos recollects himself from the attack, the woman decides to attempt a pin. He snarls viciously at this, ears pinned backwards in defiance as he can feel the contact of her teeth against the nook of his neck (on the back side). Muscles tense, he resists her pin by remaining standing and essentially refusing to allow the woman her victory. Another grotesque snarl and narrowed eyes search the terrain, finding little that could aid him this round.
Toes flexing to provide more traction, Pharos can feel his tail rise and lower, depending on body position, to give him more balance. It is only now that the male feels collected enough to counterattack (it only of been a few seconds in the longrun). His hips, now positioned adjacent to the woman, seek to knock into her and off balance the woman. This process would rip his neck from the female's jaws, and although it is painful, he winces through it. The urge to yelp surfaces, though that too is quickly snuffed in favor of appearing unfased. As blood begins to trickle from the backside of his neck where his skull and spine meet, Pharos' turns his head slightly to glance at the female through a scrutinizing gaze. Upon further assessment, he can see that her face is presumed lowered still from when she had tried to pin him. Launching into action, rows of serrated teeth target the woman's eye area. Should she evade this attack, Pharos is assumed to aim for the sensitive flesh of her cheek in the stead of failure. Snarling as he lunges toward her, the male's neck is tucked to protect his throat, as well as his talons unsheathed.
In the midst of it all, his neck still bleeds. It is a gradual leak, and not enough to stop him from action. Of course, there is also the ache in his shoulder. For now, adrenaline pushes the injuries to the back of his mind. They were to be dealt with later.
Round 3 of 4 for Spar
DEFENSES: Lips drawn upwards in a snarl, eyes narrowed to protect them. Hackles raised to prevent an unprotected grasp on his nape. Ears angled backwards, shoulders set forward to protect the throat better, stance fortified for more balance.
ATTACK: Resisting her pin by withstanding the woman's weight, he awaits until she repositions herself. Then knocks his hips into her to hopefully off balance her, ripping his own neck out of her grasp painfully. After that he seeks to snap at her eyes/face and grab ahold there.
INJURIES: Bruise begins to form on his left shoulder with a mild ache. Bite mark and bleeding to the back of his neck where his skull and spine meet. Pain is felt, but not completely as adrenaline prevents Pharos from feeling the whole of her attack.
