*Navigation - Rock Garden

Finch took a deep breath of the autumn air, feeling the bite of winter as it stung her lungs. She knew that she needed to explore all she could now, before winter came. It wasn't only the harshest season, but she went into heat on top of that. Usually she stayed on pack grounds during that time, avoiding contact with nearly everyone. It was just her and Civetta until spring came. But there was something different about this year, someone was on her mind. A blush heated up her cheeks, and she shook her head to scatter her thoughts. Now was not the time to think of that, but on the new land that she was entering. Slowing her pace, her pale blue eyes grew wide as she eyed the stones that started to manifest all around her. There were some that were just up to her knees, but others rose well beyond her height. Even Civetta let out a soft whistle, fluttering off her perch on Finch's shoulders to land on a very large rock. Finch's gaze followed her friends all the way up, rearing up to place her front paws on the chilly stone. Her nose stretched upwards to try and see if she could touch the top, but she was several feet shy. Letting out a soft giggle, she bounced a few times as her claws scrambled to find a hold. There was a large crack that she was able to grip with her hind paws, pushing up off of it as she reached for the peek of the rock. Her left front paw just hooked on the ledge, leaving her swinging off the ground for a moment. The girl's muscles strained to pull her upwards, but she just couldn't do it. With a thud she landed on the ground, the breath rushing out of her lungs from the harsh impact. Gasping for air, she felt the minuscule weight of Civetta on the bridge of her nose, peeking down to look at her wide blue eyes. She shook the bird off, her maw gaping as she fought to regain control. She would be fine, this would pass soon. It was all she could tell herself as her chest contracted painfully, oxygen starved body aching for some fresh air.
