Lead me astray

It was hard to get past the smells of the swamp, the overly sweet scent of mud and ripe vegetation was enough to set anyone's nose twitching in agitation, and it was difficult to tell if any wolves had been through her recently. She was glad she had Tar at her side, and found herself stepping closer to him as the sun fell behind a cloud, and the long, vine-covered trees native to the swamp seemed to stretch long shadows across their path. It could definitely get spooky here fast, and the fur along her back rose, she was getting the sensation of a bad feeling that her good mood couldn't shake. Tar was shifting nervously beside her, his equally large paws rocking back and forth with his weight, and she turned her glance over to him. The dampness from the fog clung to his rich, dark coat, adding a glittering touch of silver to his tones. His brilliant, dual toned gaze found her, and she could read the worry in his gaze. He might be older, and equal height to her, but ever since her father had found she had built a possessive, protective, connection over him. She grinned bold,y fighting back her own shiver. “If this fog holds up, we could miss any clues by miles, perhaps we should try again on a clearer day?” she offered him, not giving any hint to that fact that she wanted to get out of there as much as he did. “Come on, the way out was... this way” she turned back the way they had come, and fought the path and scent trail they had left behind was hidden behind the lacy covering of fog that had begun to settle over their world. She shrugged, unperturbed, and started walking. Walk, "Talk" Think |
