She nodded slightly, clearly seeing that Quelt was far out of his comfort zone. She tried to calm down her exuberant mood, Amalia could be the calm and collected wolf when the situation called for it. Sitting up a little straighter, she took a few deep breaths as she gazed at him with her understanding gaze. It could be hard to socialize, even for her. She was an outgoing wolf, but she devoted herself to her work and often closed off to everyone else. Her stump of a tail flickered behind her softly, and her eyes narrowed slightly when he said that his eye ached. She could only guess that it was from the exposed, hardened skin that made up the scars around his face. Standing up, she took a tentative step towards him before pausing. "Do you mind if I examine your eye?" she asked in a soft voice, not wanting to get into his space if he wasn’t comfortable with it. She had endless patience, so even if it took some talking first she was okay with that. Quelt asked if Pip was she mother, and her smile grew into one that was more tender. "Yes, I am. Leo is my younger brother, although not by too much," the tiny healer said with a chuckle. She glanced at the gentleman with a bit of caution, nervous that her next question might upset him. "And yourself, Quelt? Do you have any family close by?" Maybe if she got him to open up a bit, he would lose some of his anxiety around the pack. Having one friend was better than one, right?
