Ain't My Last Dance

Faite waited patiently with a suppressed grin as he huffed. She was clearly making him think hard which was good. Being a warrior wasn't just about being able to fight well. Strategy and being able to think before you rushed off to battle was the thing that could decide whether you won or lost your fight. Laisren had done a good job answering her questions so far and she had hope that he'd continue to do so. She wanted to push his mind as well as his body. Once they got to the more physical aspects of his training - well that'd be the true test there to see if he retained the information he had given him. "You would have to keep them close, within striking range and not allow them to get away from you. That's really the only way to get the upper hand in that situation," She beamed at him again and nodded. He was smart and that gave her hope. She was glad she'd been given Laisren as an apprentice. She was small which would be good in the long run. Once they did some practice spars he could work on getting used to fighting a smaller opponent. When he was ready he could even seek out some larger ones to learn how well he did against someone his own size when he grew into his large paws. "Very good, Laisren." She praised him. "I want you to remember that fighting isn't just about how strong or fast you are. Your mind needs to be trained just like your body. You need to learn battle strategies and learn how to make smart decisions in a matter of seconds. In some cases your choices will be all the stand between you and death." Walk, "Talk" Think |
