Hazy Shade of Winter

What was she thinking right now? Or, was she thinking at all... No. No, she wasn't thinking, wasn't over-analyzing and worrying and crying anymore. It felt absolutely wonderful. Reckless, that was what she felt like right now. If acting without thinking ws being reckless then let her be reckless because it had finally brought her contact with him; that contact felt like nectar might taste on her lips. Delicious, sweet, addictive. Someday she should ask him how he got to be so damn addictive.
Feeling like she was in the most pleasant of trances she hardly heard his weak protests, though she wouldn't have responded either way. A piece of her must have knew he didn't really mean this. Had there been someone nearby to observer it would have been plain to see even to them that he desired the contact just as much as she did. If only they could just never, ever walk away from this moment in time.
But she had, and as she had predicted Zephyr would follow her. They'd lay near one another, though every part of her wished they would move closer and see just how close two creatures could press together. What did she want to talk about? Anything. Everything. All the events that had transpired and everything they had missed by being apart. Caelum also didn't want to ruin this moment though... Speaking of the past was painful enough when she was on her own, or even with another. That paled in comparison to how she felt around Zephyr. He had the power to amplify everything she felt tenfold. But she didn't want to be quiet either. In a hushed tone she spoke, "I... don't know. Anything. I just don't want it to be quiet. The silence..." She broke off voice wavering slightly. Being in the silence when she was this upset always lead to crying, to falling apart because in the silence memories came back, each more grotesque than the last.
Again she'd shuffle closer, seeking to at least touch his cheek with her nose and feel his heat again. Oh please, just a little contact please.
