maiden in peril
The grey lady sat perched on a large bolder, her back straight and her head tilted slightly up. She had wandered further south as the winter season had come into full swing, not taking a liking to the freezing temperatures in the north, especially because she was alone. It wasn't logical. So she gracefully traveled down into the east, where she came upon flat lands dotted in rocks of all sizes. The winter clouds brought with them large white, puffy flakes of snow. They floated down from the heavens elegantly; no wind left them to fall slow and gently. She had decided to take a break from her travels, to rest up in this quiet place.
Miss Haven sat watching the snow, thinking about her purpose in life now. She had been run out of her homelands, to stand up for a brother who didn't want her around. Now she was just wandering, a loner of all disgusting things. How could she have let it come to this? To scavenging for food, suffering from the cold... She needed something to do, something to dedicate her life to, to be apart of something that would make a difference. She needed purpose. She let out a long sigh, her breath becoming visible as it left her lips.
What was she suppose to do?
