His paws left prints of his feet as he traveled the now dead wood. It seemed not long ago fire had claimed its due, and the forest was having trouble bouncing back. Even with the freshly fallen snow the scent of the fire was still strong in his nostrils. He was unsure as to his decision to even traverse the dead wood. He had been certain that there would have been some unsuspecting creature to eat, but the further he traveled the less likely it seemed. That was when he picked up the scent of another wolf.
She seemed to not be too far ahead of him, considering how fresh the scent was. He looked towards the direction in which she would have been travelling and he debated about following or continuing on his way. He had been in the mood for some company, maybe they would be too. Or at least a possible hunting endeavor. He had been going too long in between meals, and help would be welcome.
Kypsis let his sturdy legs carry him onward, closing in on the presence of the she wolf. If it turned out she didn't want company he could always just leave, but it was so odd that they were both in the desolate place. Maybe they were meant to cross paths. He didn't keep himself from being heard, stealth was the last item on his mind, he wanted to be as noticeable as he could. His paws made the sparse snow crunch under each step as he drew closer. He could make out the shape of her a bit as the space shrank to a more reasonable distance. She seemed very pretty, he wondered how their encounter might go. He just wanted someone to talk to.
When he brought himself close enough to talk to her with out raising his voice he announced his presence to her, not that she hadn't seen him yet. "Hello over there, might you be seeking companionship? If that isn't the case I'll gladly let you send me away. He gave her a friendly smile, It just seems really lonely out here.
