The female could feel her heart swelling with pride the more she looked at the little one. He was perfect, though the contractions that still shook her body told her he was not the last of this litter. Would they really have two boys, as Liar and she hoped? Would they come to be marked with extravagant rainbows and shock the world with their looks and personalities? She could only hope. When Liar spoke the child’s name Marina gave an approving nod.
“Chasm…” The female spoke the name lovingly. “Chasm… bearing the name Syndrome after my darker side, to never forget, to embrace… and Walker…” Marina was smiling to herself as she looked up at Liar. “To know that his sire’s blood runs through his veins.
